The official Hunger Games Catching Fire teaser trailer has been released and it is amazing! It starts with Katniss and Peeta being announced as the winners of the prior Hunger Games and then focuses on President Snow and Plutarch Heavensbee talking about how Katniss needs to be killed. “I think she should die but in the right way, at the right time,” says Plutarch. “Katniss Everdeen is a symbol. You don’t have to destroy her, just her image. Show her that she is one of us now. Let them rally behind that. They’re going to hate her so much they might just kill her for you.”
Katniss appeals to Haymitch to help her through the Victory Tour. Prim hints that she will be joining in the chaos in some way, and Gale is seen being whipped. The trailer ends with the haunting Mockingjay whistle.
