Gale and Peeta, Entertainment Weekly

Just as we got our first peek of Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss from Entertainment Weekly, we are now getting a look at  Josh Hutcherson as Peeta and Liam Hemsworth as Gale.

The magazine article inside features an interview with Hutcherson, who talks about his experience filming The Hunger Games as well as his new friendship with Hemsworth. Hopefully there are more pictures inside!

What do you think of the duo? Many Hunger Games fans were suspicious of the casting at first, but this picture has us thinking that the director definitely saw something in them that we didn’t.

Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss in Hunger Games

For those wondering whether Jennifer Lawrence will be believable as Katniss in The Hunger Games movie, look no further. Entertainment Weekly has released the first images as Lawrence in the lead role of the dystopian young adult novel. EW was granted an exclusive interview with Jennifer Lawrence (brunette in the picture above) as she prepares for Hunger Games filming in North Carolina.

The interview with Lawrence as well as more photos and a guide to other characters in the film will appear in Entertainment Weekly on stands this Friday.

What do you think of the picture of Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss? Is it what you pictured when you read the book? Does it do the book justice? I have to say that I am hopeful based on the photo. Although it is not what I pictured for Katniss (I was thinking she would look younger), I do think that it could work. I am anxious to get my hands on the magazine and see the rest of the pictures.
